The Blogger Recognition Award #3 & #4

My good friend, Charlotte, from Time To Talk, has given me my 3rd nomination for The Blogger Recognition Award! Then I received my 4th nomination for this award from the lovely Jazz, from Another Bipolar Blogger! You girls mean the world to me and thank you so so much!

There are some rules that go along with the nomination. It is by no means required to make a post if you are nominated, but here they are!

I started UndercoverSuperhero because I wanted a space to share my story of learning to walk again and my 9 month hospital and rehabilitation stay.

I hoped by sharing my story, I could make someone, whonwas or is going through something similar, to feel less isolated. I yearned to know of someone who knew exactly what I was going through.

I aim to raise awareness of lots of things, from disabilities and illnesses, to weddings, inclusion and accessibility.

I know it’s easier said than done, but when reading posts like ‘How To WriteThe Perfect Blog Post’ or something like that, nothing is perfect – don’t feel pressured into believing that you have to follow a ritual, it’s your blog, you write how YOU want to write.

I know I’ve said it before, but I cannot emphasise how important engagement with readers and fellow bloggers is. I’ve been fortunate to get to know and have a chat with some incredible people, and it definitely helps in making you feel part of a growing community!

Hey fellow superheroes! I'm Ami, I'm 24 and I live in Norfolk, UK. On my blog, UndercoverSuperhero, I openly talk about my recovery journey which stemmed from being in hospital and a specialist neurological rehabilitation centre for 9 months. I talk about how I maintain a positive mindset whilst coming to terms with my disability. I love superheroes, so much so that my partner and I are having a superhero themed wedding! I generally like to talk about anything and everything on my blog, I also have an ongoing series called "The Reality of..." which allows readers and bloggers to raise awareness of the disabilities, mental illnesses, chronic illnesses, impairments, that they live with as it is so important to raise awareness! Everybody has a voice! 💚

  3. It seems a long struggle journey and glad you decided to share with people so you can inspire and help someone out there 🙂
    I agree with interaction and wrote about it many times, it’s the gist of blogging but many fail to see it! Nowadays I visit only those who visit me, first because many don’t even check their SPAM folder or they simply like your comment, second because my regular readers are worth my time more than others, from a mutual respect point of view 🙂

    1. Thank you 🙂 I’m hoping to reblog my recovery story when I reached my first blog anniversary in October 🙂 it’s still very much an ongoing journey but I am able to walk a very short distance now – my motivation has been to walk down the aisle next month 💚
