Hey everyone! Firstly, how have you been handling this heatwave? Boiling is an understatement! It’s alright when there is a decent breeze, but when there isn’t… ugh!
What’s Been Happening?
Ahhhh, I have so much to tell you and I’m so excited that I’m babbling already! Just a heads up, there will not be any structure to this post because I’m too excited and can’t hide it any longer!
Deep breathes people… one HUGE announcement coming your way! Are you ready?
WE’RE HAVING A BABY!!
Eeeeeeeeek! We found out on the 11th March, which was also 2 years exactly since I woke up from my induced coma – a very surreal and emotional day!

I shit you not, I’ve never been so speechless in my life! I just sat there and cried. My first thought was FUCK! We weren’t expecting to fall pregnant the first time – thought it would take a good few years at least!
Side note – I will be doing a little series where I share what I’ve experienced in each trimester, so I won’t be going into too much detail in this post but stay tuned!
Our First Scan

On the 11th May, we got to see our little Avenger for the first time! We were shocked that as soon as the sonographer placed the scanner on my belly, baby appeared!
I’ve never been so captivated, just seeing our baby for the first time felt like the world had stopped. It was just us (and the sonographer), and we couldn’t stop smiling.
We found out then that I was exactly 13 weeks pregnant and our due date is 18th November.
It was lovely watching our baby’s heart beat, we even got some dancing, lots of waves and even a yawn! Baby is more active than me!
Side note – we did have a scare 2 days after the first scan which I will go into more detail with in the series I mentioned above.
Our Second Scan
On Friday (26th June), we saw our little one for the second time!

Our second scan/20 week scan (well, 19 weeks and 4 days) revealed that Little Avenger is healthy and still as active as ever! Baby was dancing again and waving – they also put their firsts infront of their eyes. We got to see so many features – cute little button nose (takes after me obviously!), fingers and toes too.
Heartbeat is strong as ever, it’s very surreal watching your baby’s heart beat!
I asked the sonographer if we could guess the gender before she confirmed it – because of my hearing loss I really wanted me and Ewan to find out the exact same time, instead of him finding out before me.
Then it was time for the ‘potty shot’…
It took me a few seconds to focus. Ewan’s gut feeling was right all along, I turned to the sonographer and said “gender?” (See gender reveal video below to find out!) And the sonographer nodded.
It was instant love!
Gender Reveal Video!
We are over the moon and can’t wait to meet our little superhero!
As For Undercover Superhero…
I’ve decided that I will post as and when, it was stressing me out trying to come up with new ideas weekly and i really struggled. I’m not going to write content just for the sake of it. I will still be about, reading blogs and commenting.
Monthly updates will resume from next month so I can start afresh, “The Reality of…” series is still ongoing, there aren’t any guest posts lined up at the moment so if you, or someone you know, would like to take part and raise awareness then please do let me know! Either by commenting or visiting my contact page.
Do you know how hard it has been for me to keep my mouth shut for this long? Oh my…!
On that note, I will leave it there for now, hope you’re keeping well and I look forward to catching up with you all!
