*This is an updated version of My 25 by 25, I figured I needed to be more realistic and actually give myself time to achieve them!
Having not long turned 27, I’m keen to look back at my 30 by 30 and update anything I’ve managed to do, and remind myself what else to aim for. Although some goals are random and just for fun, I would love to achieve these. I will add photos and cross each one off as I go.
Here are my 30 goals to achieve before turning 30!
Marry Ewan!

Meet Tom Hiddleston

Saturday 23rd October 2021 will be a day that I cherish forever and ever!
To Be Kinder To Myself
Yeah, I’m still no further forward with this…
To Overcome My Fear of Trying New Foods
Now that Daisy is eating actual food, I’ve been debating whether or not to team up with her when she tries new foods. Part of me wants to resume the series as soon as, however, I’m a little hesitant after having a bad reaction to one of the peppers I tried in one of the episodes. I don’t know, but we’ll see.
To Raise Awareness About Disabilities and Rare Diseases
I feel like I’ve majorly strayed from this goal, but it is something I really want to get back into and I will do when I’ve figured out how to go about it.
Learn More Sign Language
To be fair, I do watch Mr Tumble a lot – because of Daisy, obviously. But, I really do want to learn the basics because I’d give anything to be able to have others communicate with me without others helping me to understand.
Go To Naidex
We did get tickets to attend Naidex in March 2020… then the pandemic hit… and I was pregnant. So, maybe we will attend during a time that isn’t so unpredictable!
Go To Comic Con
We had no plans whatsoever to do this, but a friend told me that Tom Hiddleston was going to be at Comic Con London, in October (2021), at the time she told me this, it was 4 weeks away. I was very hesitant to go especially with all the rising Covid cases, but the venue was taking all the precautions they possibly could, so I did take a chance.
… and I’m attending Comic Con in May this year! While Ewan’s off at a wedding (got my priorities straight hehe!) I have no idea who is there yet but I wanted to get tickets just in case there is someone I would love to meet.
I plan on attending every year now, I feel like Comic Con is my second home!
Be Confident In Myself
Nope.
Finish My Recovery Story
The last time I went to continue writing it, was when I offered it as a serial to Pete to share with his readers. But I didn’t add any more chapters to it. I can’t predict when I will add to it, it’s not easy to write about.
Continue To Be Involved With Scope
After 3 and a half years, I moved on from volunteering with Scope. I could no longer commit to everything that I do, so I decided to part ways with volunteering. I’m still undecided if I will keep being a storyteller for them, but we’ll see.
Get Another Tattoo
I know exactly what tattoo I want to get – but the question is, will I kick the tattooist? I’m not a violent person, don’t worry – I have Sensory Ataxia and Transverse Myelitis which causes altered sensations, involuntary movements. Not sure how we could test my tolerance though…
To Give Back To Those Who Changed My Life in 2018

If you followed my journey from the beginning, then you’ll know how much the staff at rehab mean to me. They’ve changed my life in more ways than I ever thought possible and I want to repay them in some way. On 29th November 2019, we donated £600 to the physiotherapy and occupational therapy department at the ward that I stayed on.
I made a promise that day, to continue raising money every year. But then in 2020, with the pandemic and the fact I was due to give birth in November… 2020 wasn’t the right year. Then with 2021, with cases still fluctuating, I couldn’t think of something that I could do plus I was having physio to rebuild my confidence with walking so again, it didn’t feel like the right time.
But for 2022, I’m going to make up for it and I hope you can support me along the way – watch this space!
Own As Many Marvel-Related T-Shirts As Possible
Loki t-shirts alone, I must have about 8 – that’s excluding the joggers and 3 hoodies. Marvel t-shirts… maybe 20 something? I need more, of course, there’s always room for more…
To Meet As Many Marvel Actors/Actresses As I Can
Tom Hiddleston (Loki)
Sophia Di Martino (Sylvie)

Charlie Cox (Daredevil)

Go To A Film Premiere
I would love to attend the premiere of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness but I know full well how anticipated this film is and it will be PACKED, with people no doubt camping overnight or arriving ridiculously early which isn’t do-able for me.
Maybe this one isn’t attainable but we’ll see.
Continue To Control My Ataxia
I must be at a point where I can control my Ataxia as I was discharged from rehab nearly a month ago. Being discharged is still a very touchy subject for me as I’m in denial about anything relating to it currently. More on that at a later date, hopefully.
Tell Ewan A Fact He Didn’t Know About A Superhero
Ewan is the comic book fanatic out of us both, therefore he claims to know EVERYTHING. I don’t like smug people and I can’t wait to wipe the smug smile off their face either. When I was doing some research one day about superheroes and disabilities, I discovered that, in the comic books, Hawkeye is deaf.
When I told him about my findings, he had no idea! Boom, and now that smug smile belongs to me!
Go On A Shopping Spree
In July of 2020, I only remember this clearly because it was the hottest day of the year and I was almost 6 months pregnant, plus Ewan was with us (he rarely comes clothes shopping). Bad move that was, asking Ewan to come with because he costs a bloody fortune!
We stocked up on clothes before Daisy arrived as we knew we would be strict with money and not have much time to go clothes shopping.
Be Confident In Communicating With Others
Nope.
Speak In Front Of A Group Of People
The first time I spoke in front of a big group of people was at our wedding. I was nervous and didn’t make eye contact with anyone apart from the paper in front of me, which was my wedding speech.
Play Every Crane Game At An Amusements
I can’t wait to take Daisy to the amusements, I hope she likes the 2p machines just as much as me! But I also love the crane machines and it’s been a childhood dream (don’t ask…) to play at least 1 game on every crane machine during one visit. Hopefully, we’ll get to do this in the summer.
Be More Organised
In 2019, I was a very organised person. 2020? Not so much. 2021? What is this sorcery? 2022? I’m slowly getting back on track, thankfully!
Pay Off My Overdraft
In 2020, I didn’t go into my overdraft once which felt very satisfying. But a financial blip occurred in 2021 and things have been a bit haywire since. I’d love to be able to say to my bank that they can remove it once it’s been completely paid off, I really can’t wait for that day.
Have A Go At Affiliate Marketing
This was originally Pinterest-related, but given that it takes me forever and a day to settle on one design for a graphic, I’m not going to waste my time obsessing over a very visual-based platform – I’ll still give Pinterest a go, but it’s not something I want to solely focus on.
However, I would like to try Affiliate Marketing. I would love to be able to earn my own income, even if it’s just enough to come off benefits. I miss being financially independent.
Get A WAV and Use My Powerchair Out and About

Literally days before Daisy arrived, my WAV was delivered. It has two names because I can’t settle on one… Silver Lining, because it is my freedom, and Quicksilver, because Marvel, obviously.
I can’t begin to express how much my car has changed my life. In the 15 months that I’ve had it, I’ve been able to go out shopping in my powerchair, I’ve been able to go and see my Nan, and even attend Comic Con. It really has been life-changing.
Design Some Undercover Superhero Merch
This will become easier to do once I’ve settled on my branding, and I’m almost there so watch this space!
Organise A Fundraiser In Aid Of The lABLEd Podcast
This was originally in aid of Scope, but as I’ve mentioned already in this post, I’ve parted ways with them. So, I’m changing direction and want to help raise money for lABLEd Podcast, which I’m the social media assistant for. It’s completely self-funded, the subscriptions, the equipment, everything, it quickly adds up.
Lucy and Alice don’t know that I want to do this, but I want to plan everything before pitching the idea to them. So that’s another thing to add to the ‘watch this space!’
Complete The Superhero Tri Each Year! 2019

I completed the Superhero Tri in 2019 with my good friend, Hannah Deakin, and it was a fantastic day! I’d hoped to complete it again in 2020, and 2021, but as I’ve mentioned a few times already, they weren’t the best times to do certain things. I’m keeping an eye out for any of their announcements for this year!
Learn To Safely Get Up From The Floor
I’m still practicing this – energy permitting. I reckon with a few more months of practice, I should (hopefully) be able to do it myself!
Is there anything you hope to achieve before you turn a certain age??
