What Do You Like Most About Your Writing?
How am I supposed to answer this? It’s like asking what do I like most about myself and I don’t really like answering those sorts of questions…
I don’t know, I guess I’ve always felt awkward since a school teacher told me that my writing was always the same. I never plan to write books or anything but it put me off writing for so long until I started writing about my recovery.
Thinking back over the past 3 years of blogging, I’ve always had a conversational writing style, which means I write the way I would say it as if I was talking to you directly. I feel at ease writing like that, it feels personal, it allows me to connect easily with other people.
I’m always honest in my writing, I wear my heart on my sleeve. I just don’t like sounding arrogant, mainly because I strongly dislike arrogant people.
But at the end of the day, my writing must be OK if I’ve written guest posts for blogs, articles for publications, etc.
Maybe one day I’ll be able to say, you know what, I love how I write.
